How JoJo Days is different from other baby books

If you have gone looking for a baby book lately, you already know the feeling. There are dozens of them, and from the store listing they all look more or less the same. Sweet photos, soft colours, a promise to hold your memories. It is only once you live with one for a while that the differences show up.

We built JoJo Days after living with a few of the others. Here is where it parts ways with them.

You own it, you do not rent it

Most baby apps run on a subscription. You pay every month, for years, just to keep the photos of your own child. Stop paying and the memories go quiet behind a paywall.

JoJo Days works the other way around. You pay once and it is yours to keep. No renewal you forgot about, no fee standing between you and your own child's first steps. A baby book should outlast the company that made it.

A calendar, not a feed

Most apps drop your memories into an endless scroll, sorted by an algorithm, sitting next to ads for nappies and formula.

JoJo Days is a calendar. Every day is its own little card. You tap a day, add a line, a few photos, a short video, maybe a voice note. Nothing is ranked, nothing is sold to you on the way in. It is quiet on purpose.

It starts before day one

Plenty of baby books begin on the birth day, as if the story starts there. Ours begins in pregnancy, with a gentle countdown to the due date, and grows up alongside your child from there. The waiting is part of the story too.

Just the two of you

There is no public profile here, no followers, no likes to chase. Your journal is private by default. You can invite one other person, the co-parent, and that is it. It is a keepsake for your family, not a stage for everyone else.

The small things, saved properly

The big milestones tend to look after themselves. What slips away is the small stuff, the word they said wrong, the face they pulled at lemon, the laugh you swore you would never forget.

So we made room for all of it. Photos and short videos, a voice memo of that exact laugh, and a star for the firsts. Then a monthly digest to look back and feel the whole thing again.

The honest difference

We are not free, and we will not pretend to be. Free usually means you are the product, and the quiet trade is your family's data. We would rather charge you once, fairly, and never touch your memories again.

That is the whole difference in one line. No subscription, no ads on your baby, no selling your data. Just a private, playful place to keep the little days.

That is the book we wanted for our own kids. So we built it.
