Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
JoJo Days (“we”, “us”) is a private journaling app for keeping a family's everyday memories. We take your privacy seriously - your photos, videos, and notes are meant for you and the people you invite, no one else. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
Account details. When you sign in with Google or an email link, we receive your email address and, from Google, your name and profile picture if available.
Your journal content. The things you add - your child's name and birth date, daily notes, photos, and videos. This is yours; we only store it so we can show it back to you and the people you invite.
Payment records. If you buy a plan, payment is handled by our payment processor, Dodo Payments. We never see or store your card details - only a record that a payment succeeded and which plan you're on.
Usage & device data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the app is used (pages visited, rough location, device and browser type). This helps us improve the product.
Cookies
We use a secure, essential cookie to keep you signed in. Google Analytics also sets cookies to measure usage. You can block cookies in your browser, but the sign-in cookie is needed for the app to work.
How we use your data
To run the service: sign you in, store and display your memories, process payments, respond to your emails, keep the app secure, and make it better. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your journal content for advertising.
Where it's stored & how it's protected
Your data lives in a secured database and private cloud storage. Photos and videos are kept in a private bucket and served through short-lived, signed links - they are never publicly browsable. Only you and the people you invite can view your journal. When photos are uploaded they are re-processed on your device, which strips embedded metadata such as GPS location.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that make the app run, and only as needed: hosting (Vercel), our database provider, media storage (Cloudflare R2), sign-in and analytics (Google), payments (Dodo Payments), and email delivery (Resend). We also share your content with anyone you personally invite or send a share link to.
Your choices & rights
You can view and edit your content anytime in the app. You can ask us to export or delete your account and all of its data - just email support@jojodays.com and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data; contact us to exercise them.
Children
JoJo Days is a tool for parents and family to record memories about a child. It is meant to be used by adults; it is not directed at children as account holders.
Keeping your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete it, we remove your journal content and account details from our systems (some records may remain briefly in backups before they cycle out).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product grows. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
